The Phoenix Symphony is bringing Captain Jack Sparrow’s adventures to Symphony Hall this Halloween weekend with Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl in Concert, running October 30 through November 1.
The film, starring Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley, will be accompanied by a live orchestral performance of the score by Klaus Badelt and Hans Zimmer. Audiences can follow the sword fights, supernatural mysteries and search for treasure on screen as Symphony musicians perform the music alongside the action.
Part of the Symphony’s Films Series, the concerts offer a chance to experience the movie through the musicians whose performance gives its seafaring adventure much of its momentum.
Performances take place Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31, at 7:30 p.m., followed by a Sunday, November 1, matinee at 2 p.m. The listed running time is two hours and 15 minutes.
