Atop it all is From the Rooftop, which rests above the Cambria Hotel in Downtown Phoenix. This gem is the only rooftop eatery (and drinkery) with stunning views that span all of what one might call the new Downtown skyline.
The newly announced weekend brunch will only enhance your experience in the daytime, with decadent breakfast items and filling finger foods to entice a gathering from 11 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon. Serving up favorites, this rooftop-take on brunch is special as it includes Blueberry Pancake Bites, complete with Bourbon maple syrup. Or try the Chicken and Waffles Sliders that marry fried chicken, buttermilk waffles and a honey butter that sweetens the deal. For the indecisive, there’s the Brunch Board, which is a take on the charcuterie that includes the Pancake Bites, mini waffles, assorted cheeses, nuts, fruits and spreads.
As if the food is not enough, this hot spot is also home to some amazing daytime drinks. The Camelback Daquiri — which can be sipped while staring at the iconic mountain to the Northeast — hints of lime and mescal drenched with a light rum and orange bitters. The Vertigo, made of sparkling Cava Rosé, Campari and Orgeat, is a cure for any ailment.
Saturday will be all the rage when DJ Chklz plays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Music, breezes and views from all directions take guests away during a time of social distancing and COVID-19 precautions. Also a priority for this rooftop getaway is the safety and concern for those who choose to come and enjoy a place like no other in the Valley.
