Avondale Parks & Recreation, Avondale Toyota, and Phoenix Raceway will hold Avondale Light Up the Sky, a fireworks event, at the racetrack on July 2. Attendees can enjoy the free fireworks show, the largest tailgate fireworks experience in the Southwest Valley, or choose an upgrade to watch the fireworks from the VIP area at Phoenix Raceway. Festivities include a kid zone; live entertainment presented by Desert Diamond Casino West Valley; food vendors, and a 25-minute spectacular fireworks show.
The event will take place Saturday, July 2, 2022. Gates open at 5 p.m., the fireworks display begins at 8:25 p.m. and the event ends after fireworks.
General tailgate admission is free and attendees can enjoy the show from their vehicles. Families are invited to bring folding chairs, ice coolers, and snacks to enjoy the show. Grills and open fire cooking are not allowed, and all canopies must be lowered at sundown.
Attendees may also upgrade their experience with a VIP Pass for $55 per adult (16 years and older) or $35 per child (15 years and younger); 4 years and under are free. The VIP Pass includes a VIP parking pass, indoor facility access to The Barn ™, DJ entertainment, Rudy’s pre-selected BBQ meal, and two beverage tickets.
