Avondale turns into a winter wonderland on Saturday, December 2, with a visit from Santa, inflatable play zone, train rides, annual tree lighting ceremony, crafts, an exhibitor’s alley, eight food trucks, and the premiere of the Avondazzle Holiday Light Display.
This free, family-fun holiday event takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Avondale Civic Center, located at 11465 W Civic Center Drive, Avondale, AZ 85323. Kick off the holiday season with friends and family in Avondale. Come enjoy the holiday festivities and experience the dazzling light display. Food and sweet treats will be available for purchase.
Special visits and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus or Princesses Ana & Elsa will be available at the event- experience a magical meet-and-greet moment! Stage entertainment includes the West Valley Youth Orchestra, dance performances from Heart & Sole and The Studance Lab, the annual tree lighting ceremony lead by Mayor Kenn Weise and the City Council, with Santa and special guests.
The Avondazzle Holiday Light Display taking place in front of City Hall is a featured spotlight at the event and will operate all season long. The Civic Center will be lit up with dazzling light displays across the complex. Explore the field of glittering lights with the family and make some magical memories. The centerpiece of the display is the City Christmas Tree, which will glimmer and dazzle to the beat of holiday tunes. The Avondazzle Holiday Light Display will take place nightly throughout the season, in front of City Hall, from Saturday, December 2 through Monday, January 1, 2023.
WinterFest

The City Christmas Tree’s musical program and surrounding light display will be up throughout the holiday season, with a programmed show to display every 30 minutes. FREE to attend – bring a blanket or chairs, your own treats, and your family and friends.
