Arizona Foundation for Women (AFW) is currently accepting participant and mentor applications for their third annual SHE Leads!™ program. The SHE Leads!™ program is crafted to repair the “Broken Rung” in the career ladder that often impairs women from reaching higher levels of management and leadership by developing women personally, professionally and philanthropically. Each SHE Leads!™ participant receives training to enhance her leadership capabilities and hone the skills needed to empower herself and her community.
SHE Leads!™ is ideal for a woman looking to navigate a move into a leadership position, refresh her skillset or gain formal training experience in leadership. Past graduates have represented industries from education, law, engineering, aviation, healthcare, journalism, law enforcement, finance, government, nonprofit and technology. Regardless of field, previous SHE Leads!™ participants have seen immediate benefits in their careers, including promotion opportunities and increased exposure within their organizations and our Arizona community.
“Throughout this program, I developed confidence in not only my abilities and expertise, but also the confidence to be 100% authentically me, advocate for myself and know that I have earned and deserve the level of success I have achieved,” said Krystal Harris, SHE Leads!™ class of 2022 graduate. “During this course, I have been promoted and I have been afforded the opportunity to execute several initiatives and have my voice heard by those making the decisions for my organization.”
AFW is currently processing applications for SHE Leads!™ participants and mentors. Applications can be found here, and will be accepted through Sept. 22, 2022. There are no prerequisites for applying. Program sessions will be held in person in the Phoenix Metro area from January 2023 through June 2023.
New for this year’s program, AFW hired a dedicated Program Director to oversee SHE Leads!™. Tricia Livermore joined the AFW staff in August and brings 20+ years corporate experience. Tricia has additional skills in growing and managing a small business, mindset coaching and holds an MBA with a certificate in entrepreneurship.
“I’m excited to be part of the AFW family and passionate about growing the SHE Leads!™ program towards making a greater impact for women in leadership,” said AFW Program Director, Tricia Livermore.
The 2023 SHE Leads!™ program is sponsored by AT&T of Arizona, Freedom Financial Network, Freeport McMoRan, The Rosendin Foundation, Scottsdale Industrial Development Authority, SRP and University of Phoenix.
