Healthcare IT company Topaz has undergone a total brand review and unveiled its new logo and tagline to support its evolution to a national provider of healthcare technology solutions, including electronic health records, practice management tools and more.
The new brand identity reflects Topaz’s commitment to provide the best custom healthcare technology solutions tailored to the specific needs of the behavioral health and social services organizations it serves.
Changes have been made to the firm’s logo to reflect its current image. Topaz works as a partner with clients to provide a complete range of IT products and services to the behavioral health community that are simple to integrate and use. The new brand identity serves to communicate three main values: holistic (transitioning circle shape), partnership (a collaboration between two halves), and simplicity (unassuming graphic aesthetic).
“It is important that Topaz retains its established values but at the same time develops a new and modern identity. The rebranding exercise will ensure that we get the right message out there,” said Topaz President and CEO Javier Favela. “We feel it’s important to let people know what Topaz stands for and our new tagline signifies the commitment of everyone at Topaz to people first – that is what healthcare is all about.”
The new tagline ‘It’s clear. People matter’ makes reference to the jewel that inspired Topaz’s name, but more importantly serves to emphasize its mission of a people-focused company. After a competitive process, Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Fervor Creative was chosen to lead the rebranding activities and work alongside Topaz’s leadership team to develop a new tagline and logo.
“The purest form of a topaz is defined as being clear with no discoloration,” said Don Newlen, owner and creative director at Fervor Creative. “That concept of a pure, honest approach aligns with Topaz’s mission of putting people at the forefront of what they do and why they do it.”
In addition to rebranding, Topaz recently moved to an 11,300-square-foot Class A office space on the 15th floor of the Xerox building, located at2700 N. Central Ave. in Phoenix. The move provides more space for the growing company. Since 2008, the company has grown from a staff of two focused solely on the Arizona market to a staff of 43 with clients in nine states.
Topaz was founded in 2000 by two large, community-based behavioral health organizations.
