The Tempe Chamber of Commerce has announced the finalists for the 2015 Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The award honors an individual, business or organization that best embodies the spirit of entrepreneurship, engages in responsible business practices and demonstrates a passion for innovation and success.
The finalists are All About Compression, Biostress Imagery and Ping! Development.
All About Compression is a retail store selling high-quality, fashionable compression garments to improve customers’ health and quality of life by eliminating the symptoms of venous ailments caused by medical conditions and air travel. The company, led by owner Kelly Lorenzen, plans to expand to worldwide sales and into major airports across the United States.
Biostress Imagery helps performers, individuals and businesses eliminate stress and promote performance by changing core behaviors and developing positive habits and behaviors. Using leading techniques in guided imagery combined with cognitive mentoring and mind/body practices, company president Carine Dieudé provides long-lasting, life-changing training to eradicate chronic stress.
Ping! Development facilitates an increase in the growth and value of small businesses by providing cost-effective, scalable computer security consulting services. Owner and founder Peter Adams also develops programming for a wide variety of platforms, creating and marketing new digital products and services to provide small businesses the same tools available to the largest enterprises at an affordable cost.
This is the first year the award is being presented. The recipient will be named at the inaugural Beacon Awards on February 26, a breakfast event celebrating outstanding achievements in commerce and the community. Other awards to be presented at the event include the Business Excellence Awards, Spirit of Tempe and Tempe Leadership’s Outstanding Community Leader.
