My Sisters’ Charities Thrift Store officially opened Tuesday, July 1st, with the Grand Opening celebration coming up in two weeks on Fri., Aug. 1.
“We have poured so much love and good ol’ fashion sweat equity into My Sisters’ Charities Thrift Store. I think our shoppers will be really surprised at how inexpensive these items will be and even more impressed to know their tax-free dollars will go back into the community,” said founder and owner Ann Siner. My Sisters’ Charities Thrift Store is the 15th location for the Valley sisters who founded Eco-Chic Consignments in 1991. First there was My Sister’s Closet (1991), then My Sister’s Attic (1997) and Well Suited (2001), and now open, My Sisters’ Charities Thrift Store in July of 2014. At approximately 3,200-square-feet and carrying everything from clothing, shoes to household items and furniture, My Sisters’ Charities Thrift Store is located in the Fulton Promenade Shopping Center at Alma School and Chandler Heights in Chandler.
This past year Ann Siner and her sister, co-founder Jenny Siner, along with head stylist and sister Tess Loo, donated 32percent of the net profits from the My Sister’s Closet stores to charity.“There are so many worthy organizations out there to support and we believe focusing on a few areas at once makes the most meaningful impact,” said Siner. “This is why we are very proud and excited to share with you the formation of My Sisters’ Charities foundation, a 501©3 organization. My Sister’s Closet, My Sister’s Attic and Well Suited contribute revenue, manpower and unsold merchandise to the foundation, which in turn help to protect wildlife in peril, heal women leaving abusive relationships and end the euthanasia of unwanted dogs and cats.”
