Inc. magazine has ranked Tanga.com number 1703 on its 33rd annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. Tanga’s three-year sales growth of 247 percent earned it entry to the list that has featured companies such as Yelp, Pandora, Timberland, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, LinkedIn and Zillow in the past.
“Since bootstrapping this ‘garage startup,’ we’ve worked hard to build Tanga into a major player in the world of daily deals,” said Jeremy Young, CEO and founder of Tanga. “Being recognized on the Inc. 5000 list is huge honor for our small company. We’re so grateful for our loyal customers that have become addicted to our deals.”
After a failed business in 2006 left Jeremy Young with inventory to move, he launched Tanga.com to sell off his stockpile of goods, one item each day at 50 percent or more off retail price. Customers clamored for more discounted items, so Young added products from all verticals. Since that time, millions of customers have enjoyed Tanga’s deals on mainstream brands at liquidation prices.
Tanga’s business model is built on providing new deals to its customer base every day. Through flash sales and 24-hour offers, loyal “Tanganites” are presented discounted name-brand goods that are “here today, gone tomorrow.”
