Golden Eagle Distributors, Inc. will break ground this month on a 16,000-square-foot expansion of its beverage distribution facility in Buckeye Ariz., The expansion will focus on additional warehouse space and will include new delivery docks and a new entrance. Space will also be allotted for a future Compressed Natural Gas fuel station. The additional warehouse space will help Golden Eagle expand beverage sales to Phoenix’s growing West Valley over the next several years.
“Buckeye and other West Valley communities have always been important markets for us going back several decades,” said Chris Clements, CEO of Golden Eagle Distributors, Inc. “We recognize that much of the growth of our total company will continue to come from the West Valley, particularly Buckeye. We are planning for the future.”
The expansion will also provide space for a planned Compressed Natural Gas fuel station on the Golden Eagle property. Golden Eagle is committed to using CNG in its heavy duty fleets. A CNG fuel station at the Buckeye facility will provide the needed infrastructure for a CNG fleet conversion and will provide CNG infrastructure to the Buckeye community, helping make CNG a more viable option in the West Valley. Golden Eagle currently operates CNG fleets in Tucson and Casa Grande and has public-access CNG fuel stations on the Golden Eagle property in those locations. Golden Eagle is working with the City of Buckeye on both the facility expansion and the CNG fuel station projects.
“The City of Buckeye is open for business, which means we are dedicated to helping businesses like Golden Eagle, a longtime member of the Buckeye community, expand their warehouse. Growth in Buckeye will continue with great projects such as this expansion,” said Jackie Meck, Mayor, City of Buckeye.
Golden Eagle is a proud member of the Buckeye community, supporting numerous community events and local charities each year. The expansion is expected to be completed this summer.
