UnitedHealthcare kicked off its new nation-wide Step Up for Better Health Sweepstakes, a national initiative to encourage people to walk more and help reduce childhood obesity. The eventful month began today with UnitedHealthcare donating $1,000, a new treadmill and 100 pedometers to the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Phoenix.
Step Up for Better Health Sweepstakes celebrates National Walking Day on April 3, and runs during April’s Move More Month, enabling people to become eligible for a chance to win one of hundreds of walking-related prizes by pledging to move more. Prizes include a trip for two to hike the Grand Canyon in Arizona, Apple Watch® devices and $25 Foot Locker gift cards. In addition, for the first 25,000 people to sign the pledge, UnitedHealthcare will donate $25,000 to help reduce childhood obesity, including contributions to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Arizona and across the country.
Step Up for Better Health Sweepstakes is the latest in UnitedHealthcare’s initiatives, with the mission of ending childhood obesity, inspiring active lifestyles and combating chronic diseases.
