State of Arizona Office of the Governor

Tomorrow is the last day to take advantage of free COVID-19 surge testing at sites operated by the Department of Health and Human Services in Maricopa County. Testing is available at two sites:

South Mountain Park, 10919 S. Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85042
Maryvale High School, 3415 N. 59th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85033

Arizonans can pre-register HERE.

Plenty Of Tests Available
Both sites have offered 5,000 free COVID-19 tests per day starting Friday, July 17 through tomorrow, with the ability to serve up to 60,000 Arizonans. As of this weekend, the Maryvale site has provided nearly 9,300 tests with the average wait time reaching less than 12 minutes. The South Mountain site has provided nearly 3,6000 tests with the average wait time reaching less than 6 minutes. Unused tests may be sent to other sites around the state.

Testing is taking place today and tomorrow at these sites from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This test involves a self-administered nasal swab in a drive-thru stall. Those tested will receive five cloth face coverings. Results will be available within 24-48 hours from the time specimens arrive at the lab and individuals will receive results through an online portal.

To ensure an appointment and reduce wait times, participants are encouraged to pre-register at: azhealth.gov/SurgeTesting.
