Suns Announces Partnership with MassMutual

The Phoenix Suns  Oct. 31, 2014

The Phoenix Suns announces a new multi-year marketing partnership agreement with Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual). Per the agreement, the Suns will team up with MassMutual on community initiatives dedicated to educating young adults about the importance of being financially responsible.

“Every child can benefit from an education about the importance of being fiscally responsible,” said Jason Rowley, Phoenix Suns President. “MassMutual has created unique programs designed to accomplish just that, and the Phoenix Suns are proud to be a partner on those initiatives.”

In February, the Suns and MassMutual will work together to host MassMutual’s FutureSmartSM Challenge, where more than 2,500 middle school students will learn about the importance of smart money management. The Suns and MassMutual will also host a LifeBridgeSM Free Life Insurance event to offer free $50,000 term life insurance to income-eligible parents in the Phoenix area to benefit their children’s education.  Through LifeBridge, MassMutual has provided more than $670 million in free life insurance coverage to families across the country.

“MassMutual is proud and excited to partner with the Phoenix Suns in a multi-season partnership,” said Nick Fyntrilakis, vice president of Community Responsibility at MassMutual. “Through this partnership, we look forward to inspiring many in the community with financial education.”

In July 2013, MassMutual opened its first corporate office on the west coast, in Phoenix. Starting with just 150 employees, the office has grown to more than 350 employees and is a strong supporter of the Phoenix community.
