Better Business Bureau Serving the Pacific Southwest (BBB) recently launched Main St. Matters, a grant program to provide emergency funds to businesses affected by the current crisis. In a matter of days, over 700 applications came pouring in from businesses in need of this support to relieve pandemic strains. This unprecedented demand for emergency small business relief urgently proved the need for additional donations in order to swiftly serve Main St. businesses that hadn’t secured other funding. With a trusted reputation of enhancing every stage of the business journey, GoDaddy did not hesitate in extending a helping hand to expand the impact of the Main St. Matters grant program. As an organization where assisting entrepreneurs is embedded in their mission, GoDaddy’s generous contribution will help more applicants access potentially business saving capital.
GoDaddy joined BBB in funding Main St. Matters at the Community Champion level, alongside Desert Financial Credit Union. This donation will allow for a significant number of additional Main St. businesses to receive grant funds. With 100% of funds raised going directly to businesses in need through a highly thorough vetting process, BBB is proud to have built a unique, strategic program. The award gets money and other resources into the hands of ethical businesses quickly, while maximizing donor dollars. GoDaddy has generously committed to support businesses throughout the BBB Pacific Southwest region. All businesses that have applied across Greater Arizona and Southern California will have the chance to access this small business relief.
“We’re proud to join an incredible and necessary initiative,” said Stacy Cline, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility for GoDaddy. “Main St. Matters allows us to expand on our support of #OpenWeStand and Empower by GoDaddy in partnership with BBB to not only provide tools and resources, but to offer monetary assistance to small businesses who need it most.”
BBB expresses appreciation to GoDaddy on their continued support of its initiatives and ongoing dedication to serve the community and its entrepreneurs.
“After receiving such an immense number of applications in the first few weeks of our Main St. Matters grant program it became clear to our team that the number of small businesses being left behind by other emergency programs was even more dire than we predicted. As a proud Arizona grown business, GoDaddy swiftly stepped up to the plate to help our BBB in nearly doubling the number of businesses we will be able to aid. We are grateful to have a genuine small business champion like GoDaddy as a partner for this and other important entrepreneur programs. At BBB, we have always known Main St. matters and during these times we are so grateful for the support and shared belief in this cause,” shares Kimberly Roland, Director of Innovation and Entrepreneur Programs at BBB.
In order to help as many ethical businesses in the community as possible, BBB continues to seek donations to fulfill the high demand of the program.
