Scottsdale Health Co. Boosts Donations to Local Nonprofits in Time of Crisis

Plexus Worldwide

As more individuals lose their jobs, nonprofits are being overwhelmed with requests for assistance, and Plexus Worldwide (Plexus®) is doing its part to help local community partners. The direct-selling health and wellness company donated $32,000 to bolster relief efforts that provide food, clothing, and comfort to those in need.

“Now, more than ever, we need to stand together as a community to support one another and support the volunteers that are meeting the critical needs of our neighbors,” said Tarl Robinson, Founder and CEO of Plexus. “We know even the smallest gestures can make a big difference, and we hope our actions inspire others to recognize and support local nonprofits during the COVID-19 crisis.”

Recipients include St. Vincent de Paul, The Salvation Army Metro Phoenix, and Paz de Cristo, which all have volunteers on the front lines of this financial crisis caused by the coronavirus. The nonprofits will use the donations to meet the essential needs of the homeless and working poor which include food, toiletries, and other supplies.

“Our good friends at Plexus Worldwide have once again come to bat for The Salvation Army during this crisis,” said Major David Yardley, The Salvation Army Metro Phoenix Program Coordinator. “Their very generous monetary donation means The Salvation Army can fill the greatest needs, whether it’s feeding the countless neighbors who are hungry, helping families with rent or utilities assistance, and other needs that may arise during these ever-changing times.”

“We are grateful to the Plexus Worldwide Family for their generous support and belief in the mission of St. Vincent de Paul. Because of YOU, SVdP is able to continue to deliver all services in ways that will never change and forever define all of us, with care, compassion, dignity and the belief that we are our brothers’ keeper,” Andy Romley, Development Officer at St. Vincent de Paul.

Plexus also provided a monetary donation to St. Mary’s Food Bank to purchase food to distribute to by partner agencies, and to Ryan House, whose mission is to embrace all children and their families as they navigate life-limiting or end-of-life journeys.

Plexus’ Philanthropy Department works closely with community partners to provide support and donations throughout the year. Its focus is on nonprofits that support heathy eating and an end to food insecurity, groups that encourage healthy environments, and those which encourage a healthy community.
