The official premiere of Teresita Fernández: Elemental may have been delayed due to our temporary hiatus, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get acquainted with the exhibition’s visually dazzling artworks in the meantime.
For this week’s second PhxArt Virtual Visit, we’re thrilled to bring you the sneak peek everyone’s been asking for. With dual-language audio guides, a behind-the-scenes video, exhibition reviews, and so much more, this virtual preview of Elemental will get you good and hyped for the exhibition’s much-anticipated Phoenix debut.
In the Galleries
Co-organized by Phoenix Art Museum and Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), Teresita Fernández: Elemental is the first major traveling exhibition and mid-career retrospective of works by the contemporary artist, considered one of the most innovative of her generation.
Elemental showcases more than 50 large-scale sculptures, immersive installations, and mixed-media wall works spanning two decades that reinterpret the relationships between material, history, nature, and the sociopolitical references tied to place.
