Support My Club, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting students on their path to graduation by engaging communities to fulfill the needs of high school clubs and teams, announced today that they are pivoting the purpose of its technology to serve other local nonprofits. As COVID-19 continues to have an increased impact on communities around the globe, Support My Club’s core mission of supporting high school clubs and teams has been temporarily placed on hold to serve other areas of need. The organization will be using its e-commerce technology to temporarily display the most pressing needs of local nonprofits that will directly allow them to perform their missions and programs during this critical time. The community can then easily fulfill those needs within the Support My Club online marketplace.
“One of the nice things about what I do is that I get good visibility of nonprofits,” said Mayor of Phoenix, Kate Gallego. “Support My Club is one of the most effective at getting resources in the hands of low-income students”.
Support My Club has always been a virtual way for community members to support student needs. During these challenging times, the organization is urging the community’s help in supporting “on-the-ground” work with students and in-need populations.
