Isola Announces New Global Leader of Quality and Operational Excellence

Isola Group, a market leader in engineered dielectric materials used to fabricate advanced multilayer printed circuit boards, announced the promotion of Janet Fromm to senior director of quality & operational excellence, reporting directly to Ray Sharpe, president and CEO. This announcement follows the recent promotion of Michael Gastonguay to president of the Americas, who previously held this position.

Fromm will be responsible for leading Isola’s global lean and quality initiatives to reduce costs, improve cycle-times and leverage best practices across all of the company’s worldwide facilities. Since joining the company in 2011, as the director, lean leader of the Americas, she has been instrumental in driving a lean culture throughout Isola.

Fromm previously worked for Freescale Semiconductor Ltd., where she served as the lean deployment manager, providing leadership in wafer fabrication and the RF, sensors and analog business units. Prior to Freescale, she held leadership roles at Crane Electronics, Triumph Air Repair and Honeywell/AlliedSignal.

Fromm graduated from Arizona State University with both a BSIE in Industrial and Management Systems Engineering and an M.B.A. She currently chairs the Valley of the Sun Lean Benchmarking Council and has worked closely with TBM Consulting and Shingijutsu Global Lean Consulting. Fromm is also a Six Sigma Greenbelt and certified by the American Production and Inventory Control Society.
