Dog Daycare, Boarding and Spa Facility to Open its Doors on June 8

Dogtopia

Dogtopia, the nation’s leading dog daycare, boarding and spa facility, is opening a new location in Paradise Valley Village on June 8. Situated at 13001 N Tatum Blvd., Ste. C01, this location marks the sixth Dogtopia in the Phoenix area.

Offering personalized care for Phoenix pups in a fun, safe and comfortable environment, Dogtopia sets the industry standard among dog daycares with its three key benefits: education, exercise and socialization. To foster complete transparency, pet parents are walked through a detailed facility tour while their furry children are evaluated for Dogtopia’s open-play environment. Dogtopia employs webcam technology in each playroom that allows pet parents to check on their pups from anywhere.

In celebration of the new location, Dogtopia will offer 10 percent off all services through the summer. Frontline workers, teachers and veterans will receive 20 percent off all services through the summer. Additionally, anyone who schedules their pup’s first day of daycare within a week of the Meet & Greet evaluation will receive three free days of daycare.

To ensure the safety of all pups, pet parents and staff, Dogtopia maintains a custom cleaning program that utilizes pet-safe products that clean, disinfect and offer the highest level of safety available. The playrooms are sanitized twice daily from top to bottom when the pups are resting. Routine detail cleaning is performed throughout the day by employees, known as Dogtopians, where they clean door handles, countertops, keyboards, phones, light switches, faucets, sinks and other frequently touched surfaces. Additionally, collars and slip leads are disinfected before every use. Each playroom has a powerful HVAC system, with in-duct UV lighting, that funnels air out of the building to ensure clean, fresh air, and eliminates bad bacteria. Pet parents are also now able to drop off and pick up their pups, contact-free without having to get out of their vehicle.

The new location is family-owned by local entrepreneurs Steve Weberman and his wife Elaine Gantz-Weberman. Their son, Zach Weberman, will run the day-to-day operations as General Manager. Originally from Michigan, Elaine and Steve had plans to retire in Phoenix. They were introduced to Dogtopia through a magazine on an airplane while flying down to Phoenix for a trip. After more research, they knew this would be a perfect fit in the Phoenix community. Zach, eager to be part of the family business, moved to the area in 2018 and began working at a Dogtopia location to learn how to best care for pups the Dogtopia way.

“We are thrilled to bring Dogtopia to the neighborhood and provide much-needed care for dogs in the area,” said Elaine. “Our mission is to create the most exciting day ever for pups, while giving their parents peace of mind while they’re working from home or away. Instead of being left alone at home or in an isolated environment, Dogtopia provides an opportunity for our furry children to meet new friends, get exercise, enjoy playtime and have quality human interaction while at daycare.”

Community pups will enjoy an open layout where each playroom offers fun for dogs of similar size and temperament. Each playroom also has compressed rubber flooring to ease joints, prevent slipping and promote safer play. Dogtopia’s fees are all-inclusive and meals are prepared according to each pet parent’s direction.

“We understand the dogs in our care are more than just pets – they’re members of the family,” added Zach. “Our employees are meticulously trained to take every measure possible to guarantee their comfort, safety and meet all of their needs.”

In addition to providing quality care in a healthy, safe and fun environment for local pups, Dogtopia launched the Dogtopia Foundation with the noble cause to enable dogs to positively change our world. The Foundation funds programs focused around three worthy causes: Service Dogs for Veterans, Youth Literacy Programs and Employment Initiatives for Adults with Autism. One hundred percent of funds raised are donated directly to supported organizations. To learn more, visit www.dogtopiafoundation.org.

Founded in 2002, Dogtopia is an early pioneer and innovator in the pet services industry, offering an experience focused on safety and transparency in the market. With an emphasis on education, exercise, and socialization for dogs, pet parents have the assurance of leaving their beloved furry family members in the hands of trained professionals in an environment created with the safety of dogs in mind. Each facility averages between 3,000 to 7,500 square feet and is specially designed to provide dogs and pet parents with the best experience by reducing odors, noise level, illness, and accidents. With more than 130 locations across North America, the brand is now the largest provider of specialty daycare in the United States and will continue expansion by franchising with successful entrepreneurs.
