What innovations and/or products have you launched recently or are preparing?
We have a couple of exciting programs designed to make accessing healthcare easier and more rewarding.
Ambetter Telehealth powered by Teladoc is our convenient, 24-hour access to in-network Ambetter healthcare providers for non-emergency health issues. It’s available for use when at home, in the office or even on vacation.
Our Telehealth feature allows members to get medical advice, a diagnosis or a prescription by phone or video for a wide range of issues. Members can use Ambetter Telehealth when they need it, or go ahead and schedule an appointment for a time that fits into their schedule. The Teladoc mobile app makes this program easy to access from a mobile phone.
My Health PaysTMis another new program we recently launched. It rewards participants for completing healthy activities, like exercising or getting an annual well check or flu vaccine. Participants receive a My Health PaysTMVisa® Prepaid Card when they earn their first reward, and then can continue to add to it; the more they do, the more reward dollars will be added to their card. Rewards can be used to help pay for healthcare-related costs, like doctor copays, deductibles and coinsurance. Members can also use their rewards on everyday items at Walmart, or for things like utilities, cell phone bills, transportation and childcare.
Our health management programs, 24/7 nurse advice line, and tailored Care Management program are all available to our Ambetter from Arizona Complete Health members.
To provide a sense of what is happening in the industry, please share the challenges you are addressing to enable superior healthcare services for your clients.
Today, we know that so much of what affects our health and well-being are things that cannot be fixed in a single visit to the doctor’s office. This is why we take a whole-person approach that focuses on physical health as well as mental health. We know that many people struggling with chronic diseases like diabetes, for instance, may also be experiencing depression. We provide the care management members need to make accessing healthcare easier.
We also know that active local involvement is crucial to building strong and healthy communities. This is why we invest in community-based initiatives that support wellness and prevention, nutrition, housing and employment and so much more. Some of our partnerships have included community gardens, literacy programs, farmer’s markets, housing repair, expanding behavioral health services in our schools and offering training on Mental Health First Aid, to name a few. In 2018, Arizona Complete Health re-invested approximately one million dollars in local nonprofit initiatives tailored to support community wellness.
In what way(s) are you focused on helping business?
Ambetter from Arizona Complete Health serves Arizonans seeking individual and family coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace. Many of our members are self-employed, small-business owners or employees of small businesses. We know that in Arizona, small businesses are the heart of our economy. We support the health and well-being of a critical part of our workforce, and we provide access to high-quality, affordable and comprehensive healthcare coverage for them and their families.
