Phoenix Children’s NICU is the only Level IIIC NICU in Arizona and offers the state’s highest level of neonatal care. The center treats babies who require around-the-clock attention for complex conditions like birth injuries, chromosomal anomalies, congenital heart disease, drug exposures and infant infections. Phoenix Children’s also offers the state’s only neuro-NICU, which provides advanced care to babies with advanced brain or neurologic conditions.
The team will be led by Gregory Martin, MD, who serves as Division Chief of Neonatology. Dr. Martin completed his residency at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York, and a fellowship at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City. He graduated with his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine.
Dr. Martin has a deep history with Phoenix Children’s, having previously served as Medical Director for Phoenix Perinatal Associates and Vice-Chair for the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care.
Dr. Martin will be joined by nine providers, four physicians and five nurse practitioners: Dr. Pamela Griffiths, Dr. M. Ellsworth, Dr. K. Ellsworth, Dr. Deborah Tom, Kimberlee Allred, RN, NNP-BC; Megan M. Shea, NNP, Katherine Marshall, NP; Cheryl Wiewick, NP and Al Depietro, NP.
