Be Well Health, a new, innovative sexual health clinic, will deliver judgment-free, on-demand healthcare through its first in-store clinic at Walgreens store #3464, located at Central Avenue and Osborn Road, 3402 N. Central Avenue.
With a special focus on health needs within the LGBTQIA+ community, Be Well Health will provide an open environment to address healthcare needs for all demographics, including: Sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment, Preventive services, PrEP and PEP, HIV testing and treatment; Hepatitis C testing and treatment and Counseling and education services. Patients will have access to quality care by walking in or making an appointment.
Since opening their Be Well Family Care practice November 2019 in Tempe, Arizona, co-founders Micaela Simon, FNP-C, AAHIVS, and Julia Kieffer, FNP-C, have specialized in the care of the LGBTQIA+ community. Their purpose is to foster an open atmosphere of health and understanding where patients can get quick access to all healthcare needs.
“The care of our community starts with the treatment and prevention of some of the hardest-to-discuss healthcare topics,” Simon said. “Our goal is to help our patients understand that there is no such thing as ‘taboo’ within the walls of Be Well Health. By collaborating with Walgreens, we aim to make this care as accessible as possible.”
After successfully treating thousands of patients in the traditional clinic model, both Simon and Kieffer are excited to expand their healthcare offerings to an on-demand format.
“At Walgreens, we are leveraging our resources and capabilities to champion health and wellbeing within local communities. Our collaboration with Be Well Health is just one more example of that commitment,” said Amer Hakam, regional healthcare director Greater Phoenix, Walgreens. “Through this new collaboration, we’re able to support Be Well Health in their mission to provide compassionate, quality, accessible care.”
Be Well Health at Walgreens is located at Central Avenue and Osborn Road, 3402 N. Central Avenue and is open Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
