Banner Health opened a new Banner Urgent Care clinic in north Phoenix, adding essential, accessible health care services for the community. The new clinic, located just east of Interstate 17 at 2525 West Carefree Highway, offers convenient care for non-emergencies like common illnesses, minor injuries, and other health issues that call for fast attention.
Medical staff at the clinic are fully equipped to treat colds, flu, minor cuts and burns, sprains, strains, and other ailments. Other services also include flu vaccines, sports physicals, and X-ray exams to evaluate certain injuries.
“We’re excited to bring Banner Urgent Care’s offerings to this growing community and help people and their families to remain safe and healthy,” said Amanda Fisher, RN, director of Banner Urgent Care. “As Arizona’s leading nonprofit, fully integrated health system, we’re dedicated to preventing severe illness wherever possible, and our urgent care locations often play a key role in keeping people out of the hospital.”
Like all Banner Urgent Care facilities, the new clinic will also offer Valley fever diagnostic testing for patients who may be at risk or suspected of a positive case for the respiratory infection that is endemic to Arizona and the Southwest. To address the fact that Valley fever often goes undetected, Banner Urgent Care recently expanded its testing protocols to enhance detection and also potentially prevent the need for other repeated or unnecessary costly tests, another way Banner is reducing health spending for its patients.

Carefree Highway, St. 156, Phoenix, AZ, 85085 and open Monday through Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. This location is also home to a Banner Occupational Health Clinic, which is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
