SkyShare, a full-service private aviation company, announces its official launch in Scottsdale, bringing the most cost-effective, approachable, and transformational on-demand luxury air travel to the Valley. The company was first founded in a single office in 2009 in Ogden, Utah as CB Aviation, then added fractional and charter operations in 2018. Since then, SkyShare quickly grew to where it has become Utah’s largest private aviation operator and was recognized by MountainWest Capital Network as a Utah Top 100 fastest growing companies, No.14 in 2022, and No.27 in 2021. Inc. Magazine named SkyShare in Inc. 5000 as the fastest growing private aviation company two years running, 2021and 2022.

Now with six locations across the West, SkyShare flies to destinations throughout North America, including Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean, and beyond. The majority of SkyShare’s approximate 50 full-time pilots are residents of Utah, California, and Arizona.

To celebrate the launch, SkyShare is hosting a private VIP and media event at Scottsdale Airport on Friday, April 28, 2023, where the anticipated number of guests exceeds 300. The soiree includes a live charity auction to benefit Sweet Geeks, a nonprofit for underprivileged tech-gifted children.

As Scottsdale’s newest private aviation option, SkyShare’s full-service offering includes:

  • Fractional jet ownership – an affordable timeshare investment for annual flight utilization days with unlimited flight hours for a five-year term.
  • Charter flights – a private, dependable, and custom-fit solution for individuals with specific needs for air travel to single or multi-destination cities.
  • Aircraft management – a service to assist owners of aircraft with the ongoing management of their assets.
  • Broker aircraft sales – like a real estate brokerage, a service to assist aviation customers with the purchase and sale of private jets.
  • Fixed Based Operator (FBO) – granted the right by airport authorities, SkyShare provides fueling stations and other mechanical services at two of its six locations (KOGD, KDVO).

SkyShare’s CEO and Founder, Cory Bengtzen, is a self-made, highly accomplished pilot who refuses to settle for uncomfortable, unfriendly, and inconvenient air travel. He also values his customers’ time and safety. With headquarters in Salt Lake City, SkyShare was born on the premise that consumers should not have to compromise safety, comfort, and convenience to be relegated to commercial airlines or outrageously expensive private operators as the only options of air travel.

“Commercial air travel has reached an all-time low in every aspect of the journey. From long security lines to rude airline staff, to frustrated and violent passengers, air travel has become an awful and even dangerous experience,” said Cory Bengtzen, CEO and founder of SkyShare. “On the flip side of the coin, big private operators charge prices only the wealthy one percent can afford. SkyShare aims to deliver ninety-five percent of the same service as the big, private operators at thirty-five percent of their cost, yet with even better customer service. We want to be known as the ‘Cheers’ of the sky – where the passenger is never just a number, and we always know their name.”

Bengtzen added, “We believe Scottsdale will quickly become our second largest customer base and could potentially exceed Utah numbers. Arizona is a prime destination market that’s poised for the quality and luxury flight experience SkyShare provides. Whether travel to and from the Valley is for business, pleasure, or any hybrid in-between, SkyShare caters to every private aviation need to ensure our customers, their colleagues, and their loved ones receive the 5-star experience they deserve, and that SkyShare is committed to deliver.”

To dedicate the Scottsdale launch of SkyShare, the company is hosting a private VIP and media event at the Scottsdale Airport where more than 300 guests will enjoy tours of SkyShare’s air fleet, including eVTOL, coined the aircraft of the future. There also will be live music, and food and beverages while SkyShare executives reveal the company’s new logo and brand. A live charity auction will take place to benefit Sweet Geeks.

“SkyShare strives to marry the romance of flight from the past with the tech advances of aviation’s future,” said Bengtzen. “We are on the leading edge in the democratization of private flight.”
