Slick City Action Park, the first-of-its-kind indoor dry slide park, announced the grand openings of two brand-new locations in Arizona. The Queen Creek location, a franchise-operated park, will officially open its doors this month, followed by the highly anticipated launch of the Scottsdale corporate location in March. These new parks bring Slick City’s unique blend of exhilarating slides, interactive play areas, and unforgettable group experiences to new areas of the Valley, adding to the brand’s existing Arizona locations in Peoria and Chandler.
Slick City Action Park has redefined fun for all ages with a completely unique concept featuring 10 to 15 thrilling dry slides in every park. In addition to the slides, guests can enjoy a state-of-the-art Sport Air Court and a Junior Jungle designed specifically for little adventurers under 45 inches tall. Whether you’re seeking a high-energy activity for families, a memorable birthday party venue, or an out-of-the-box setting for corporate events and fundraisers, Slick City offers something for everyone.
“The growth of Slick City in Arizona has been incredible and we can’t wait to bring it to the quickly growing Queen Creek community,” said Wade Stooks, franchise owner. “This location offers an exciting new entertainment option for families and groups in the East Valley, while also revitalizing a commercial space that was underutilized.”
The Queen Creek location is a franchise-operated park and will be one of Slick City’s largest to date, taking over a former Esporta Fitness building, while the Scottsdale corporate location will occupy a former Burlington store. All Slick City Action Parks repurpose second or third-generation commercial spaces, breathing new life into properties such as former industrial and flex locations, mall anchors, grocery stores, fitness centers, and family entertainment venues. Both new parks are part of the brand’s $12 million investment in Arizona, contributing to Slick City’s $20 million in estimated annual revenue.
“The Scottsdale location is a testament to our commitment to creating fun, dynamic spaces that revitalize older real estate,” said Bron Launsby, Founder and CEO of Slick City Action Parks. “It’s in a prime and fitting location, as the newest addition to the Talking Stick Entertainment District, and we’re confident it will bring an innovative new experience to Scottsdale.”
With four of the six Arizona parks owned by Arizona residents, Slick City Action Park is a local success story with national reach. The company’s manufacturing arm, Slick Slide LLC, was founded by Arizona resident, Gary Schmidt, and also is based in Phoenix, further solidifying its roots in the state. With two existing locations in Peoria and Chandler and four new Arizona openings planned for 2025, Slick City is poised for significant growth. Nationally, the brand anticipates 10 corporate openings and 15-20 franchise openings in 2025. Currently, Slick City occupies more than 1.2 million square feet of real estate nationwide, with 240,000 square feet located in Arizona by year’s end.
The economic impact of Slick City also is substantial. In 2024 alone, the company hired 650 employees nationally and expects to employ 450 individuals in Arizona by the end of the year. Many of these positions provide first-time job opportunities, offering employees both valuable life and job skills.
Individual tickets for 90- or 120-minute sessions can be purchased online or onsite at Slick City locations, making it easy to plan an exciting outing. From casual visits to larger planned group celebrations, the parks offer a dynamic and safe environment that keeps everyone entertained.
