Taco Boys, known for authentic char-grilled Mexican food, has announced the addition of a third location in Arizona’s West Valley. The growing fast-casual chain also recently launched Tempe’s first and only self-pour beer wall experience at its second location, just across the street from the Arizona State University campus.

Founded in 2019 by partners Juan Cornejo Pena and Suminder Singh Sodhi, Taco Boys has already been hugely successful with its first two locations in downtown Phoenix and Tempe. In just two years, the brand has acquired a fan base of more than 30,000 followers on Instagram.

“We started out with a small taco stand in front of a liquor store and now we’re opening our third restaurant a few years later. We’re very thankful for the support of our customers and excited to bring Taco Boys to new communities across the state,” Juan shared.

The menu offers traditional Mexican fare made with fresh, char-grilled meat, Options include Pollo (Chicken), Carne Asada (Steak), Tripa, Cabeza, Barbacoa, and Pastor. A selection of house-made salsas and veggie toppings are available, free of charge.

At the Tempe location, guests can serve themselves a variety of draft beverages using a wristband to activate the taps and track their tab. The 20-tap self-serve system is powered by iPourIt technology and allows patrons to sample different beverages as they please, without committing to a full pour.

The self-pour taps feature a rotating selection of beers, as well as a house-made draft margarita made with 3 Amigos Tequila.

“We’re honored to have the opportunity to partner with the team at Taco Boys and to help support their continued growth,” shared Darren Nicholson, VP of Sales at iPourIt. “Self-pour technology is a great way for fast-casual operators to enhance and differentiate their concept. It simplifies labor needs, reduces product loss, and shortens wait time for guests.”

Taco Boys’ newest store is slated to open in April 2022 at the corner of 91st Avenue and Camelback Road—one block away from the State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals.

There are currently two locations in operation in downtown Phoenix at 620 E Roosevelt St. Phoenix, AZ 85004, and in Tempe at 1015 S Rural Rd, Tempe, AZ 85281.
