State Forty Eight, the beloved Arizona-based apparel and lifestyle brand known for its iconic desert-inspired designs and community-focused approach, has officially signed the lease for their fourth Valley location. The new store, situated at 2470 W. Happy Valley Road, Ste 1182 in Phoenix, is set to open its doors in December 2023, bringing State Forty Eight’s unique blend of Arizona pride and style to the North Phoenix community.
This exciting expansion comes as a result of the brand’s growth and the demand for its products in the North Phoenix area. While the State Forty Eight Downtown Phoenix location has been serving customers diligently, the limited inventory space has restricted the range of products offered to the community. The new North Phoenix store, strategically located in the vibrant Norterra neighborhood, is poised to cater to the thriving local population as well as visitors seeking original Arizona merchandise.
“Norterra provides the perfect backdrop for our brand’s expansion.” says CEO and Co-Founder, Mike Spangenberg. “Its distinctive charm and popularity with locals and tourists alike perfectly aligns the State Forty Eight customer base. Additionally, our collaboration with YAM Properties offers exciting prospects for future growth and partnerships.”
Construction is currently underway on the 865-square-feet of retail space, as YAM Properties takes the lead in building custom fixtures to bring the new location to life. The Norterra store will capture the essence of State Forty Eight existing stores while embracing a unique layout that complements the space.
As part of the expansion, the brand plans to hire 2-3 dedicated retail team members exclusively for the North Phoenix store. Spangenberg and his Co-Founder and Creative Director, Nicholas Polando, along with the support of their dedicated team, are thrilled to have a presence in North Phoenix, and look forward to continuing the company legacy of representing the state with pride.
