8AM Golf, a holding company of premium golf-related brands, announced the sale of top golf GPS app GolfLogix to Revelyst, Inc., parent company of Foresight Sports and Bushnell Golf, the industry leaders in the design of golf launch monitors, simulators and high-performance range finders.
Founded in May 1999, GolfLogix was the first company to introduce handheld GPS to the golf industry and holds a U.S. patent for its unique GPS and Internet-based club tracking application. 8AM Golf acquired GolfLogix in 2014 and has carefully managed its growth as it became the most downloaded app in golf. To date, more than seven million golfers have downloaded the GolfLogix app to smartphones and watches worldwide. GolfLogix has now mapped more than 40,000 courses worldwide and is home to the largest and most up-to-date golf course database in existence. GolfLogix’s software also manages scorekeeping and stat tracking, uploading the information to an online clubhouse community where golfers can interact and compete with millions of other players worldwide.

Revelyst’s Precision Sports Technology platform already includes well-known brands Foresight Sports, Bushnell Golf and PinSeeker. The acquisition of GolfLogix further expands their product ecosystem and increases the company’s software capabilities and on-course presence.
