Following Fox Restaurant Concepts’ launch of the first-ever Doughbird in Arcadia in 2016, the highly anticipated second Valley location will make its official landing this Wednesday, Oct. 25 at The Colony on 7th Street, debuting an expanded menu as well as its best bar program yet. Just near sister restaurant Culinary Dropout along 7th Street in North Central Phoenix, Doughbird will feature its signature offbeat and irresistible menu rooted in house-made pizzas and juicy rotisserie chicken, while also spreading its wings by sprinkling in staples from Fly Bye, the go-to, to-go favorite that previously occupied space at Culinary Dropout next door. At the heart of the new restaurant stands an impressive central bar equipped with big-screen TVs and plush seating. When the weather is at its best, the retractable garage doors and lush exterior patio will also treat guests to a breezy, sunny, indoor/outdoor ambiance, making Doughbird the ideal setting for catching a game or enjoying an after-work happy hour. “Doughbird has been a favorite in the Valley since day one, so it’s an exciting milestone for us to grow where it all began,” said Sam Fox, founder of Fox Restaurant Concepts. “The best part about Doughbird is the unexpected flavors and ideas that seem unusual, but at first bite, they make total sense. The fact that we’re bringing together all the heavy hitters from the original Doughbird menu, plus amping it up with Fly Bye originals, is going to be fun… and delicious.” Flavor takes flight at Doughbird with ever-changing combinations of specialty hand-stretched pizzas (and now Detroit-style pan square pan pizza!) like The Aviator, made with pepperoni, Italian sausage, Nueske’s bacon, crushed tomato sauce and mozzarella and the Copper Hat with prosciutto, goat cheese, Medjool date, salted pistachio and arugula. Plus, enjoy all kinds of mouthwatering chicken cooked low and slow on the rotisserie, or fried to crisp perfection. And who could forget the crave-worthy appetizers, salads, sandwiches and house-made sauces that leave guests practically licking their plates? There’s no shortage of ways to add a bite of interesting to the day at Doughbird. In addition to a selection of wines and local craft beers, the restaurant also offers a host of innovative cocktails with delightfully surprising ingredients that’ll leave you wanting to sip on the patio all day long. A few favorites include the Spicy Blackberry Margarita, made with Blanco tequila, habanero pepper, tajin and fresh lime; The Local, made with strawberry infused vodka, french grapefruit liqueur, lemon, sparkling wine; and the Bourbon & Bells with KY straight bourbon, lemon, bell pepper, honey and poblano. Doughbird North Central is located at 5600 N. 7th St. #100 in Phoenix and is open daily for lunch and dinner with dine-in, takeout, and curbside pick-up. Happy Hour will run Monday – Friday from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. with drink deals starting at $4 and food deals starting at $8. FRC is currently hiring for all hourly positions, including the front and back of the house at their newest location.
