Copper & Sage is bringing its artisan cocktails, innovative cuisine and swanky vibe to the West Valley with the opening of its second location this fall. Founded by Westside Concepts, the elevated gastropub with southern influence is set to open its doors at GSQ in downtown Goodyear on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
Copper & Sage is the newest experience by Westside Concepts and Chef Evon Profitt, the director of Culinary and Beverage Operations for Westside Concepts. The first location opened in Phoenix in November 2023 and has quickly become a popular destination for delicious food and beautiful aesthetic. Chef Profitt created the concept’s menu with Southern-inspired dishes, such as fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs and blistered shishito peppers, all with an elevated twist. Additional starters include the savory Pickles and Pimento, black-eyed pea hummus and flavorful chicken wings. For entrees, the shrimp and grits provide a rich flavor profile topped with mushrooms and bacon in a sage butter served on cheesy grits. Other standout dishes include the Bayou Mussels, Hot Chicken & Beignets, and the house-made Tagliatelle with Italian sausage and kale in a fresh lemon cream sauce.
The new Copper & Sage location, designed by Social Design Studio, will feature a welcoming atmosphere, like the Phoenix location, adorned with dark wood accents, beautiful light fixtures, comfy leather seats and an open kitchen. At 4,500 square feet, the spacious restaurant features a main dining room, large bar and patio for both indoor and outdoor seating. It will be open daily for lunch and dinner and brunch on the weekends.
“Vintage and warm are good words to describe Copper & Sage,” said Westside Concepts Owner and West Valley resident Joey Lucidi. “Whether it’s Tuesday night and you want great bar food or it’s your anniversary and it’s a special night out, this is the place. We’re really excited to be opening in Goodyear at GSQ. It’s more of what we need in the West Valley. I believe GSQ could be one of the coolest places in the entire Valley.”
GSQ in downtown Goodyear is set to become a vibrant and walkable destination for residents and visitors. It will feature approximately 150 acres of high-quality restaurants, shopping, entertainment options and more. Copper & Sage, located at 1975 N Globe Dr #103, will be one of the first restaurants to open there.
Copper & Sage will soon be hiring for dozens of positions including servers, bartenders, food runners, bussers, expeditors, hosts, line cooks and dishwashers.
