Phoenix Rising FC fans can now use their tickets as their Valley Metro Rail fare when traveling by rail to the 38th St/Washington station on matchdays, the club announced today.

“Thanks to this brand-new partnership between Valley Metro and Phoenix Rising, Phoenicians can ride safely and easily to games, local businesses, and entertainment experiences, leaving the on-foot action to the athletes,” said Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego. “From the Super Bowl experience to Suns’ games and now to Phoenix Rising, I’m proud of our regional partnerships that continue leveraging our transit investments to make our downtown more accessible to the Valley community at-large.”

The partnership includes several branding initiatives, including dedicated signage at the 38th St/ Washington station, located a few hundred feet from Rising’s stadium.

“One of the biggest advantages of the club being in central Phoenix is the access our fans now have to the Valley Metro Station at 38th St/Washington,” said Rising President Bobby Dulle. “Both downtown Phoenix and Mill Avenue are just five stops away from the stadium. Partnering with Valley Metro to provide safe transportation to and from our matches is a win for us and the neighborhood. I can’t wait to see our fans enjoy the local businesses pre-and-postgame and watch the local community grow.”

Rising fans can catch Valley Metro Rail, with their fare covered, at any of the 35 stations across the Valley, leaving any worries about traffic and parking behind.

“The RideRail program will make it easier and more affordable for soccer fans throughout Phoenix and neighboring cities to get to and from the most exciting soccer matches in the valley,” said Phoenix Councilmember Carlos Garcia. “I look forward to welcoming Phoenix Rising fans, families, and our everyday Valley Metro Rail passengers to this new-and-improved facility.”

Match tickets will double as valid light rail fare on the day of the event four hours prior to the start of the event, through the end of the transit day.

“I am proud to have supported the RideRail partnership between Valley Metro and the Phoenix Rising Football Club,” said Phoenix Councilwoman and Valley Metro Chairwoman Laura Pastor. “This program will give soccer fans an easy way to travel to the stadium for matches and it’s a great way to show our support for the Phoenix Rising team.”
