Phoenix does not have a shortage of entrepreneurial ambition. What it lacks is enough flexible, professional space for businesses that have outgrown where they started but are not yet ready for the cost and commitment of a traditional commercial lease. That is the gap FlexEtc was built to fill.
FlexEtc is a flexible business infrastructure platform that gives entrepreneurs, e-commerce companies, makers, trades and growing teams access to private industrial and professional workspace, shared operational infrastructure and business amenities without the burden of a conventional long-term lease. A business may begin in a spare room, garage or storage unit. Then inventory grows, employees are added, customers need somewhere to meet, or the operation simply becomes too complex for the space around it. The traditional next step can require significant upfront capital, a long commitment and more space than the business actually needs. We believe there should be a better step in between.
At our Phoenix location at 4114 E. Wood St., FlexEtc is bringing approximately 70,000 square feet of flexible business space to the Valley, including private workspaces, loading capabilities, meeting and content-creation spaces, shared amenities and a community of other business operators. The idea is simple: Real estate should support the growth of a business, not dictate it.
That is particularly relevant in Phoenix, where continued population growth, business formation and investment are creating an increasingly diverse base of companies with evolving space requirements. As the Valley’s business ecosystem grows, it needs the physical infrastructure to grow with it.
We believe that is the role FlexEtc can play, making the next stage of business growth easier to reach.
