Cheers to “cork dorks” and curious amateurs! Jamie’s Bottle Shop, Old Town Scottsdale’s premier hub for wine explorers, will open its doors on Friday, March 28 at 7033 E. Main St., Suite 102.
Founded by Jamie Hormel, owner of the iconic Wrigley Mansion, Jamie’s Bottle Shop is designed to inspire and educate wine lovers of all levels, offering a curated selection of accessible and aspirational bottles. With more than 700 labels in stock, the shop will feature a diverse range of wines, including sustainable options, hidden gems and cult favorites, priced from $15 to $15,000.
“As we crafted the vision for Jamie’s Bottle Shop, I knew that if the concept was going to have my name on the door, it needed to be a space where wine lovers can explore without the pretension — whether you’re a seasoned sommelier or just starting your wine education journey,” Hormel said. “Jamie’s Bottle Shop is all about discovery, conversation and finding that next bottle you’ll absolutely love.”
Jamie’s Bottle Shop was designed by Scottsdale-based interior design firm Mendil + Meyer Design Studio to create a refined-yet-relaxed atmosphere featuring natural wood elements, gold and green accents and climate-controlled lighting. The 2,300 square-foot space will feature floor-to-ceiling red, white and rosé wine selections from across the globe.
Jamie’s Bottle Shop’s signature Champagne Room will host weekly tastings and education classes to guide guests on the discovery of their next-favorite bottle, region, producer or grape variety. The Reserve Room is a separate temperature and humidity controlled space designed to house Jamie’s older, rare and collectible wines.
Guests can shop the store while guided by expert staff, and choose to take their bottle home or enjoy at one of the shop’s intimate tasting tables paired with Jamie’s Bottle Shop’s signature scratch-made bites. The menu includes perfectly paired eats such as a Pressed Ham and Cheese Sandwich on Artisan Bread, Seasonal Market Salads, and Charcuterie Boards featuring sliced-to-order meats and cheeses, curated jams and pickled vegetables.
“Jamie’s Bottle Shop is the come-as-you-are wine destination that will combine fine wine with friendly wisdom,” said Zephan Lachowicz, Wine Director and Sommelier at Jamie’s Bottle Shop. “Our focus is to make our guests feel comfortable while spreading the knowledge and love of wine, whether it’s by-the-glass or by-the-class.”
Jamie’s Bottle Shop will be open Tuesdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
