Harkins Theatres, Arizona’s homegrown movie theatre company, announces the grand opening of their newest concept, the Harkins BackLot, an all-new family entertainment center at The Shops at Norterra in North Phoenix.
Inspired by the legendary Hollywood studio backlots where movie magic is made, Harkins BackLot features a dynamic mix of fun, food and interactive experiences for the whole family.

BackLot Arena is home to Arizona’s largest cinema-sized sports screen, delivering an epic laser image for an unparalleled viewing experience. With more than 60 screens placed throughout the venue, guests never miss a moment from any angle. The amazing scratch kitchen serves up unique, elevated takes on classic dishes that defy sports-bar expectations, including the Ahi Tuna Stack, BackLot Philly Cheesesteak, and the exclusive Hangover Burger. Guests can top off their meal with decadent desserts like the Overloaded Milkshake or the warm S’mores Skillet Brownie. The indoor-outdoor bar features traditional drinks, local brews, select wines, and delicious hand-crafted cocktails and mocktails—with a few surprise twists. The venue also features 12 state-of-the-art Spark® interactive bowling lanes with immersive gamification and VIP private lane options for parties and events. Krazy Darts brings animated, interactive dart lanes with unique and challenging games for all skill levels. An exciting arcade floor includes fan-favorite large-format video and redemption games, competitive challenges, VR experiences, and enticing prize opportunities at the BackLot Props redemption center. Guests can also enjoy an outdoor patio with oversized sports viewing, dining, and space to relax.
