Tempe is the eighth city in the U.S. to partner with HUUB, an Arizona-based company, which brings a free, tech-enabled small business support platform to small business and entrepreneurial communities. The Tempe Biz HUUB becomes available to qualified Tempe businesses on Oct. 26, 2022.
The Tempe Biz HUUB platform will provide hundreds of free resources and valuable business support to Tempe’s small businesses. Tempe joins Mesa, Gilbert, Phoenix, Goodyear, Avondale, Scottsdale and Colorado Springs, Colo. as HUUB city hosts.
HUUB is a spin-off from the leadership of CO+HOOTS, a coworking space and entrepreneur resource center that was ranked the No. 4 coworking space in the nation by Inc.
“We’re really excited to offer this award-winning service to our businesses,” said Tempe Economic Development Program Manager Jill Buschbacher. “Businesses in other cities using HUUB have reported significant revenue increases and cost savings and we’re looking forward to similar results in Tempe.”
The HUUB platform is available free to business owners in HUUB cities and is accessible at any time on any day. Of the 2,500 businesses using HUUB, 87% saw improved revenues, 67% lowered expenses and 87% improved their operations.
HUUB was born out of CO+HOOTS, a local entrepreneur resource center and coworking space that provides training and support to nurture businesses from launch to growth. Recently recognized by the SBA for the rapid and effective response to the challenges of COVID, HUUB functions as a city-wide entrepreneur resource platform for municipalities looking to create access and lower barriers to entrepreneurship for underrepresented and underserved entrepreneurs.
