Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU brings a new brand of hospitality to the city while adding more than 330 guest rooms and a dynamic mix of restaurant, bar, and events spaces – and is now open.

“We are thrilled to be a part of this exciting time of growth and change in the Tempe community,” said Peter Strebel. “Every Omni hotel is inspired by the authentic spirit of the destination. This hotel was inspired by the energy of ASU, the booming growth of Tempe, and the exciting people and tapestry of Arizona.”

The hotel is a $125 million investment and part of a public-private partnership with Arizona State University and the City of Tempe. The hotel includes 330 rooms, 11 suites and 36,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting spaces, including the largest ballroom in Tempe.

There are also four restaurants and bars. Lucero Rooftop is an ideal vantage point to witness iconic sunsets while sipping craft cocktails and savoring inventive bites. Neighborhood Services is serving up daily favorites and Salt & Gila is the third floor pool with fire pits, food and beverages.

Mornings start at Library Rules with a specialty cup of coffee paired with sweet pastries before transitioning into night where guests indulge in light bites and savory wines from a unique vineyard halfway around the globe.

“This is a first-of-its-kind partnership for ASU and we knew in order to pull this off we would need to partner with experts in hospitality. ASU is honored to become part of the Omni family and applauds what the hotel accomplishes in regard to the completion of an important intersection by bringing a four-star hotel and needed conference space to downtown Tempe,” said, Dr. Michael Crow, President of Arizona State University.

Omni Hotels & Resorts operates more than 50 hotels and resorts in the most popular leisure and business destinations in the United States and Canada.

“The name and legacy of the Omni brand introduces a new level of hospitality to Tempe and will provide yet another experience opportunity for those who want to visit our community. Tempe already is an excellent tourism and business destination. The addition of Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU will only improve that,” said Tempe Mayor Corey Woods.

“The City of Tempe is leading the way when it comes to growth and development in the state with over 4 million visitors a year according to the Tempe Tourism Office,” said Todd Gagnon, general manager of Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU. “Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU is a reflection of the vibrant local culture that gives this community its distinct energy. Our goal was to create an exceptional environment for students, visitors and locals alike – whether visiting from out of town or here for a staycation you can truly immerse yourself in everything that makes Tempe special.”

As part of its efforts to be a good neighbor, the hotel donates millions of meals each year to nonprofit organizations to feed children, families, and seniors through its Say Goodnight to Hunger initiative and trains its staff to recognize and combat human trafficking.

In honor of the grand opening, the hotel is offering discounted stays through May 31.
