A brand new restaurant concept, Pinard Wine Bar, is set to open Nov. 7 in north Scottsdale, offering a European style dining and wine drinking experience. The European-inspired menu features classic dishes like beef bourguignon and ratatouille and shareables such as cheese plates and foie gras. The menu also includes rich and hearty entrees like a veal chop and several cuts of prime steaks.

The kitchen is led by Cordon Bleu graduate chef Sidney Goodman who joins Pinard with experience running the kitchen at well-known establishments like Cave Creek’s Tonto Grill,
Binkley’s and Houston’s. Chef Sidney is also a military veteran.
Pinard offers a casual bar environment, a vibey dining area and a private wine room with exclusive access for members of Pinard’s Wine Club. In true European fashion, the restaurant
will offer a daily “aperitivo,” a pre-dinner Italian tradition that involves drinks and snacks to stimulate the appetite. During happy hour, small bites are complimentary and served with the
purchase of a glass of wine or cocktail.

Pinard creator and owner, Letty Ebel, is not new to the hospitality world. The Ebel family has opened multiple restaurants in the Valley and in the Midwest including Two Brothers Brewing, Two Brothers Tap House, Two Brothers Roundhouse, and The Craftsman Cocktails & Kitchen but Pinard is personal for her. Spending years traveling throughout Europe, and decades indulging in French and Italian wines and cuisine, led the Ebel family to concept and open Pinard. The name is slang for “red wine” in French.

“We will be offering varietals that you have likely never even tasted before, like Aglianico from Campania in southern Italy,” said owner Letty Ebel. “Our goal is to offer a place where everyone can relax and try new wines, enjoy delicious and authentic foods, and feel at home while doing it.”

Pinard offers more than 40 wines by the glass and over 200 wines by the bottle. The majority of wines offered will be European, and the owners are proud to offer varietals that are not found at other Valley wine bars.

Pinard’s Wine Club will give members special access to tastings and events, discounts on wine purchases, and a private lounge area that is open every Thursday through Saturday night. More information about Wine Club memberships can be found on their website, and special wine tasting events will be regularly announced on Pinard’s Instagram account. A grand opening event is slated for Thursday, November 7, and bookings are now open for holiday parties and private events for the 2024 holiday season.

Pinard will be open six days a week starting at 3 p.m. and closed every Monday.
