Development Co. Announces New York Pizza Concept Is Coming to Mill Avenue in Tempe

Wexford Developments is proud to announce Prince Street Pizza will bring its square-style Scillian pizza concept to CenterPoint next year.

Prince Street has signed a lease with Wexford Developments to take over the former 1,300-square-foot space belonging to Jimmy Johns at CenterPoint on Mill in Tempe.

The walk-up slice shop, which is famous for its Sicilian and Neapolitan Pizza, and the “Prince Perfection Pie”, will offer a variety of pies and sizes, including pizza by the slice. It will also launch with delivery through UberEats.

Founded by Lorenzo Hidalgo in New York City, Prince Street Pizza has locations in Toronto, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Costa Mesa, and San Diego. The company said Tempe was the right spot to open its first Arizona location.

We’re excited to share our New York-style slices and Sicilian squares with a new community that’s full of energy and enthusiasm.  We can’t wait for locals and visitors alike to experience the unique flavors and vibe that have made Prince St. Pizza a staple in NYC,” said Prince Street Pizza Owner Lawrence Longo.

Construction is expected to start in late September with a tentative opening planned for January of 2025.

Also joining CenterPoint in the coming year – Pretty Decent Concepts (Wren and Wolf) which is bringing a new high-end restaurant and cocktail experience, alongside Julian Wright, who just announced a new sophisticated cocktail concept.

The new leases, tenants and construction are part of a series of high-end and elevated experiences that Wexford Developments is bringing to CenterPoint on Mill.

Wexford Developments purchased CenterPoint on Mill in 2019.  The asset is comprised of 127,000-square-feet and is a mix of retail and office space, along with a movie theater, all of which is situated on 6.2 acres of land in the heart of downtown Tempe.

Wexford Developments currently has offices in West Palm Beach, FL, New York, NY and Calgary, Canada.
