Agate Construction, a construction company specializing in innovative projects across various commercial and industrial industries, announced the successful completion of the expansion of Advanced Materials Technologies, LLC’s manufacturing facility at 7030 W. Oakland Street in Chandler, Arizona.
The ground-up expansion included elaborate site work and landscaping, involving building components such as masonry, concrete, steel, roofing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire sprinkler systems and finishes. The project was constructed in five months.
This completed project enables AMT, which specializes in complex manufacturing and repairs for the advanced turbine engines used in the aerospace industry of today, will provide an additional plating and coating process in-house.
“This expansion marks just one of numerous successful projects Agate has executed in partnership with AMT’s Owner and President, Jay Donkersloot, continuing a trusting business relationship that dates all the way back to 2018, and many years before that on a personal level with my business partner, Rick Nichols”, said Lou Primak, principal, and COO at Agate Construction. “Our team takes great pride in playing a direct role with helping to expand AMT’s services, and further cement its status as a leader in the aerospace construction facility industry.”
Agate also provided preconstruction and design assist services on the expansion; it took five months to complete.
“Years ago, I felt enough confidence in the professional capabilities of Rick Nichols and Lou Primak to assist them in securing resources to become the owners of Agate Construction and Agate Steel; this is our seventh project working together.” Donkersloot said. “AMT remains at the vanguard of manufacturing the cutting-edge aerospace and aviation components, and this expansion allows us to further diversify our offerings and meet higher demand.”
