Named after the patron saint of wine vintners, Saint Urban (8260 Hayden Rd Suite A-100) is a stylish, elevated neighborhood wine bar set to open November 22nd in the heart of Scottsdale’s McCormick Ranch neighborhood. Led by chef/owner Christopher Collins, Saint Urban joins his popular restaurant lineup at the Mercado at Hayden shopping center: Collins Brothers Public House, Grassroots Kitchen & Tap and Sweet Provisions.

“Saint Urban reflects years of hard-earned knowledge serving this particular neighborhood,” Collins says. “Ever since the pandemic, we all lost parts of ourselves, and really missed out on the joy of going out and sharing experiences and meals together. And that’s exactly what Saint Urban honors, by making it both fun, and affordable, to get together daily for great wine and food with friends.”

Highlighted by light, fresh and sharable small plates, Saint Urban’s all-day menu features a number of Bruschetta options like Prosciutto & Herb Goat Cheese, Avocado & Lime or Spicy Capocollo & Truffle Goat Cheese. Don’t miss Saltwater Saint Raw Bar items including West Coast Oysters served three ways (Fresh Shucked, Broiled Rockefeller, Supreme) or the Sweet Sesame Rice with your choice of sushi grade west coast wild salmon or yellowfin ahi tuna, served with avocado and house made sriracha aioli. Plus, landlubbers will love the signature Santa Maria Tri Tip, which is served as either an entree or shaved on a sandwich bun from Noble. “It’s our salute to the different styles of tri tip that has become so popular in Southern California,” Collins says.

Alongside the wine menu that features an ever-changing selection of 30 wines by the glass, Saint Urban also tempts with a menu of all-Arizona craft beers, and an elevated cocktail program featuring unique cocktails like The Glow Up (Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Lillet, Pamplemousse, Simple Syrup), or the Arizona Rising (Butterfly Pea Infused Casamigos Blanco, Paplemousse, Orange Liqueur, Lemon Pêche Cordial, Orange & Lemon). Plus, enjoy fun weekly specials, including Monday’s Wine & Dine (any wine bottle and board, $30), Wednesday’s Saltwater Saint Raw Bar is half off all day, and Sunday’s Sunset Happy Hour (Happy Hour from 11am – Sunset).

Common Ground Culinary partnered with renowned designer, Jennifer Reynolds of Ideation Design Group, on Saint Urban’s intimate, 77-seat space invites guests to sip and linger at the black granite bar top seating beneath soaring chandeliers, cuddle up in a cozy, dimly-lit booth, or soak in the fine fall weather out on the spacious 48-seat covered dining patio. A massive brass, back-lit mirror behind the bar, eclectic wallpaper beneath formal crown molding and well-appointed patio furniture, including two oversized 8-person communal tables are all design elements to note when visiting Saint Urban.

Founded in 2011 by fourth-generation restaurateur Christopher Collins as a way to share his recipes beyond the menus they’re written on, Common Ground Culinary brings polished, time-tested hospitality to the restaurant, catering and provision space. Established brands include Grassroots Kitchen & Tap, The Collins, The Macintosh, Collins Brothers Public House, The Neighborly, Sweet Provisions, Wally’s American Gastropub and Saint Urban (2024). Common Ground Culinary also offers in-restaurant Private Dining and Events, a full-service Catering division, and Common Ground Provisions, where we pack up some of our favorite house-made provisions for you to take home, including whole roasted chickens, house-made burrata, spicy tomato jam, and our signature Topher’s Steak Seasoning and famous key lime pie.
