Federal Pizza, the award-winning restaurant known for its welcoming hospitality and wood-fired pizzas and pastas paired with craft drinks and great vibes is scheduled to open its second-ever location in Paradise Valley. Housed inside a custom-built, standalone 4,000-sq.-ft. space highlighted by a curving, 1,500 sq ft outdoor dining patio that hugs half the building, this new neighborhood landmark at the revitalized former Paradise Valley Mall will greet guests with the same irresistible menu of wood-fired traditional and Detroit-style deep dish pizzas, house-made pastas, salads and more, all available for sit-down dining or takeaway. Plus, all-new for Federal Pizza PV, enjoy a take-out lounge and bottle shop with dedicated parking spaces, where you can sip on craft beer, wine and cocktails, all while enjoying tunes via the speaker wall and playing arcade games that will bring back nostalgia.
To celebrate the opening, the first 100 guests to visit Federal Pizza on August 12 will receive a custom trucker hat and bottle opener, plus a Wrenhouse Brewing Co. koozie to take home. There will be retail available for sale, including hats, t-shirts, and bottle openers, to go along with mix-and-match beer at a discounted price. Pints of Churn ice cream will also be available for purchase, including Madagascar Vanilla, Cookies and Mint, Strawberry, Vietnamese Coffee and Chocolate Sorbet.
Additionally, Federal Pizza is partnering with The Joy Bus, a local nonprofit that delivers chef-inspired meals to homebound cancer patients. For the first month, $1 from every Wrenhouse Melt Mode sold will be donated to The Joy Bus. The organization will also be on-site at Federal Pizza on August 23 from 4-7 pm for guests to decorate meal bags and write custom notes with encouraging words that will be given to patients currently undergoing cancer treatments.
Handcrafted by Upward Projects, the Phoenix-based restaurant group behind Postino Wine Café, Joyride Taco House, Windsor and Churn, along with longtime collaborator Mike Rumpeltin of Brick & West Design, this new Federal Pizza location pays homage to the original in Uptown Phoenix in ways both Federal fans and first timers alike will love. Think a sleek, modern indoor-outdoor space featuring low-slung bricks, custom tilework and hourglass-steel holding up the patio canopy, but enlivened with colorful neon signs, vintage lighting, vibrant 1970s Supergraphics and wallpaper, and luminous partitions made with salvaged stained glass. Combined with the come-as-you-are vibes and famously friendly staff, Federal Pizza is the perfect all-day hang here in the revitalized heart of north Phoenix.
Open daily at 11 am for lunch, dinner and late night, Federal Pizza tempts with wood-fired pizzas like the Flaming Lips (Pepperoni, Salami, Gorgonzola, Honey Hot + Rosemary), or Detroit-style square pan pizzas like the Supremium. Enjoy entrées like the Chef’s Classic Chicken Parm and the Mickey White. Or appetizers like Buttermilk Fried Tenders and hearty salads like the Tuscan Panzanella. Also not to miss are Federal’s selection of wines, old school wine coolers and craft beer on tap and in bottles. Not to mention their list of cocktails which includes the Federal Margarita, Hopped Paloma, Aperol Spritz, and more.
