KickHouse Scottsdale, the boutique-style kickboxing studio located at 7904 E. Chaparral Rd., #104, is under new ownership. Brittney and Johan Izigzon moved to Scottsdale and purchased the franchise with the mission to be active, hands-on owners and further develop the tight-knit community that sets KickHouse apart from other boutique fitness studios.
“I believe in KickHouse because I have seen so many lives changed and so many positive things come from it,” said Brittney. “We want KickHouse to be a safe place for people to come. Our members feed off each other with positivity—we’ve watched people become friends and achieve so much personal growth through KickHouse.”
Herself included. Brittney admits fitness as a lifestyle didn’t click for her until after she had her first child. She struggled with losing her baby weight and finally joined a gym where she had a trainer who inspired her and introduced her to the concept of macros.
“I dove headfirst into learning everything I could. That knowledge, combined with consistent movement, completely transformed my body and my mindset,” Brittney said. “That’s when I knew this was more than a personal journey; it was a calling.”
Then, during COVID, Johan began working remotely full-time and encouraged Brittney to pursue what she loved. She applied to KickHouse in Parker, Colorado, where they lived at the time. The then-manager took a chance on Brittney, hiring her despite the fact that she had zero kickboxing experience.
That changed everything for Brittney. She gained confidence, overcame shyness and even began coaching classes and leading many of the studio’s popular six-week challenges.
“I watched lives change, not just physically, but emotionally and mentally,” she said. “I saw women step into their power, gain confidence and heal from the inside out. KickHouse became my second home.”
Brittney’s leadership journey is a testament to dedication and vision. When the KickHouse in Parker, Colorado—the No. 1 location in the country once with more than 600 members—underwent a change in ownership, the atmosphere shifted and membership declined. Stepping into an assistant manager role during this transitional period, Brittney quickly rose to general manager. Through her leadership, she revitalized the location, reversing the downward trend and rebuilding the strong community that had once defined it. Now, she and Johan are bringing that same passion and commitment to the Scottsdale location, determined to foster a thriving, connected community once again.
When the opportunity arose to purchase the Scottsdale location, the Izigzons decided to bet on a dream. They uprooted their family, sold their house and went all in.
“This isn’t just a business for us. It’s personal and purpose-driven. We’re here to make a real impact,” Brittney said. “Our vision for KickHouse Scottsdale goes far beyond fitness. We want this to be a place where people connect, grow and truly feel like they belong. We’re creating an environment that’s fun, welcoming and full of energy—a space where friendships are formed and the community comes together.
The Izigzons want KickHouse Scottsdale to be what the Colorado location became to Brittney—a home away from home where members can connect and live life to the fullest through fitness and beyond. The couple is excited to bring the KickHouse Scottsdale community even closer through events from happy hours to outdoor adventures and continue to create meaningful connections through movement and inspiration.
KickHouse offers a variety of classes, all featuring classic kickboxing moves at their core, with additional workouts from circuit training to yoga melded in. A variety of packages and membership levels allow attendees to choose how often they would like to attend.
