Bashas’ and its parent company, The Raley’s Companies, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony with City of Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke, and Chandler Chamber and City Council members to celebrate the opening of its new Corporate Support Center in Chandler.
The new Bashas’ corporate office is named a Support Center because of the support it lends to its retail stores, which in turn supports customers. This new location will serve as a hub for Bashas’, Food City, AJ’s Fine Foods, Eddie’s Country Store, and Bashas’ Diné grocery stores across Arizona and New Mexico. It is the grocer’s first corporate office move in 90 years.
The Raley’s Companies also announced the promotion of Steve Mayer to President of the Bashas’ Operating Company. In his new role, he will lead the Bashas’ organization in Arizona & New Mexico, including all store and distribution center operations, as well as sales and merchandising.
Mayer is a veteran of the industry and joined Bashas’ leadership team in 2020. Most recently, He served as Bashas’ Chief Operating Officer, where he has proven to be a capable and strategic leader. Under his leadership and direction, Bashas’ continues to build on a strong financial trend and brand evolution while preserving its proud legacy. The Bashas’ operating company, including Bashas’, Bashas’ Diné, Food City, and AJ’s stores are thriving.
The new Bashas’ Support Center is located at 2650 W. Geronimo Place in Chandler.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place outside the main entry of the new Bashas’ Support Center, where leaders from The Raley’s Companies and Bashas’ Family of Stores were joined by Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke, Chandler City Council members, Chandler Chamber representatives and esteemed community partners to celebrate the grocer’s decision to keep its corporate office location in the City of Chandler.
