A New Destination for Live Jazz, Wood-Fired Tapas and Handcrafted Cocktails Opens Downtown

Pa’La Downtown is proud to announce the opening of their new lounge, The Lounge at Pa’La, on Wednesday, April 19th, from 5 pm to 9 pm. The lounge will feature a live jazz band and complimentary Japanese and Mediterranean-inspired wood-fired tapas and drinks, showcasing the unique style of cooking by Chef Jason Alford.

The Lounge at Pa’La is designed by restaurant designer Weston Brodrick, who envisioned a moody, softly lit space inspired by luxurious hotel lobbies and lounges of Europe and New York. The color palette is grey, beige, and black with a splash of Pa’ La blue, while the seating areas are monochromatic with an unexpected display of mural art featuring red dueling octopuses on the ceiling and an octopus’s garden encompassing the center bar.

The menu features a mix of global flavors tapas, small bites, and plates that are meant to be shared, allowing guests to have a variety of flavor experiences. The menu changes daily to reflect the seasonality of the producers and stewards that Pa’La supports.

“We invite our community to our new space designed with human connection in mind. Experience food as a daily pursuit, a connection to ingredients and people as they were meant to be,” said Chef Jason Alford.

“Pa’La is the culmination of our efforts—a place where good food offers an experience for the community.”
