Federal Mask Mandate No Longer in Effect for Public Transit Riders

The TSA (Transportation Security Administration) has lifted their federal mask mandate. Masks are optional and no longer required for riders or employees of the Valley Metro system. The CDC continues to recommend masks in indoor public transportation settings.

Phoenix Public Transit Centers Continue to Offer Free Masks

Customer service windows at the following Phoenix transit centers are open and have free masks for those who want them​:​

  • Central Station (302 N 1st Ave., Suite 120, north side of the building)
  • Ed Pastor (Central Avenue and Broadway Road)
  • Sunnyslope (3rd Street and Dunlap Avenue)
  • Metrocenter (Metrocenter Mall)

Riders also have the opportunity to get free face coverings at Phoenix public libraries.​

For an appointment to reclaim lost and found items, call (602) 534-5053 between 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday – Friday. You may also pick up lost and found items at Central Station.
