Better Business Bureau Serving the Pacific Southwest (BBB) in partnership with Empower by GoDaddy (NYSE: GDDY) is holding a no cost virtual business summit to support immigrant and refugee entrepreneurs. According to an American Economic Review study, “immigrants are 80% more likely to start a business than people born in the U.S.” The educational summit will offer support and tools such as micro-financing and resources to help these entreprenuers succeed.

Immigrant and refugee entrepreneur speakers will also share stories on their journey and how they became an entrepreneur in the community. Jason Veiock, Senior Director, Safety, Security and Resiliance at GoDaddy, will share strategies on how to stay resilient through tough times and AZ local entrepreneur, Dawlat Alrifai from Dawlat’s Handcrafted Soaps, on how she found small business success.

This year’s summit will be held on September 22 at 8:30 a.m. MST. Registrations for the event are now open here.
