The 1989 Ferrari F40 (Lot #1405.1) is a one-off example finished in Nardo Gray. Featuring its matching-numbers engine and gearbox, it was originally constructed as an early non-cat, non-adjust F40 and was delivered new to Kroymans Automotive, an official Ferrari dealer in Holland. After three years in the Netherlands, this F40 was rebuilt for racing by Peter van Erp of Cavallino Tuning, including a repaint in yellow, and was raced extensively by David Hart, Michel Oprey, Mike Hezemans, Bert Ploeg and H.W. te Pas. Upon its acquisition by the current owner, the F40 was shipped to the Zanasi Group of Maranello, Italy, the official Ferrari factory paint shop for supercars, tailor-made and Icona editions, where it received a cosmetic restoration to its current livery. Today, its final available horsepower output is between 700hp and near 1,000hp based on the setup.

With less than 3,400 miles on the odometer, a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT (Lot #1405) finished in red and also selling with No Reserve, features the full complement of never-used fitted luggage. One of only 644 examples sold new to the United States during its entire three-year production from 2004-06, the Carrera GT remains one of the most desirable analog supercars.

The extraordinary color of this supercar is a custom, one-of-a-kind Christian Louboutin “Red Bottom” shoe color, as it was originally ordered by a former Miss Universe contestant, who has a passion for Lamborghini and fashion. A brand-new pair of Christian Louboutin shoes were sent to the Lamborghini factory for precise color-matching. Continuing the beautiful synergy between this Lamborghini and fashion, a new pair of “Red Bottoms” in the original box will accompany the sale of this supercar.
