Tri Pointe Homes® Arizona, a recognized leader serving the Phoenix market for over 30 years under the name Maracay®, has announced the acquisition of 252 acres to build 774 new homes in the Ware Farms planned community, located in the highly sought after San Tan Valley. The more than $27.7 million land transaction fits Tri Pointe Homes’ strategy of building quality, innovative homes in locations with convenient access to major transportation and employment corridors.
“Tri Pointe Homes has been building in the east valley for over 30 years and it continues to be a hot spot for housing. We’re thrilled to be kicking things off with development of Phase 1 at Ware Farms, which will be a significant planned community for years to come,” said Tri Pointe Homes Arizona Division President James Attwood. “All new homeowners will no doubt embrace the new home designs in the highly desirable area of Queen Creek, which ranked in the top 10 ‘Best U.S. Suburbs to Move to in 2021.’”1
Tri Pointe Homes will offer four different home designs, with homesites ranging from 48 to 65 feet wide. The planned community will include a large central clubhouse, swimming pool, event lawns, two-acre lake, sport fields and basketball courts. Tri Pointe will develop the primary amenity and 10 of the 15 park acres.
Located close to transportation routes such as Ironwood Road, Loop 202 and the new State Route 24 connection, Ware Farms offers quick access to plentiful shopping and dining, parks and employment centers, including many high-tech, financial and medical companies in Chandler (Price Road corridor) as well as the Phoenix–Mesa Gateway Airport. Quality local attractions such as The Olive Mill and Schnepf Farms in Queen Creek and The Pork Shop are nearby. The 10,000+-acre San Tan Regional Park offers an abundance of recreational opportunities, as do the famous Superstition Mountains to the east.
“Delivering homes that are life-changing by design and amenities that are lifestyle-enriching is our core approach and added to that is the great Ware Farms location in San Tan Valley,” Attwood said. “This is very exciting from a development opportunity standpoint and even more so for our customers who will enjoy the outstanding quality and convenience each and every day.”
The seller was represented by Carson Brown and Seth Keeler of W Holdings.
Land development is slated to start in summer 2022, and home sales are scheduled to begin in 2024. Tri Pointe Homes has purchased all of Phase 1, 774 lots of the total of 1,435 in the Ware Farms planned community. For more information, please visit TriPointeHomes.com.
