Last month, the Wild Horse Development Authority and the Gila River Indian Community broke ground on Sacaton Market, which will be a convenience store and fuel station on the southeast corner of South Ocotillo Dr. and Bluebird Rd.
This is a life-changing development in the area because it will bring fresh produce and groceries to what has been a food desert; members of the Gila River Indian Community have had to drive outside of their community to get fresh ingredients. In addition to the fueling station, it will also feature a laundromat and seating.
