Rockefeller Group announced today that it has completed construction of a 418,400 square foot distribution center on 24 acres in Surprise, Ariz., part of the Southwest Valley industrial submarket.  Surprise Pointe Commerce Center can accommodate one to four tenants and offers 36-foot clear height, 80 dock doors, a 190’ truck yard, 103 truck trailer parking stalls, 466 auto-parking stalls and custom-designed office space.

“Surprise Pointe Commerce Center is coming online at a great time in Greater Phoenix’ growth, where new industries are looking to establish a presence and established companies are looking to expand within the region,” said Noah Goldstein, Development Associate for Rockefeller Group’s West Region.  “Combined with a pro-business economy, forward-thinking infrastructure, and a deep labor pool, the building provides everything tenants need to thrive.”

The site has access to both Interstate 10 and Loop 303 and is also strategically located near other transportation corridors including U.S. 60, Interstate 17 and Loop 101 which will allow this new industrial building to serve not just Phoenix but Las Vegas, Tucson, Albuquerque, and all of Texas.

Cooper Fratt and John Werstler of CBRE are marketing the project for lease or sale. Ware Malcomb designed the project and Layton Construction was the general contractor.  Rockefeller Group’s civil engineer, who has extensive experience in Phoenix, was Hunter Engineering.
